Nestled on 20 acres of protected forest along the Niagara Escarpment, Riverside Retreat was born from a vision to create a space where people could step away from the busyness of daily life and reconnect - with themselves, with others, and with nature. Every element of the retreat is intentionally designed to inspire presence, reflection, and meaningful connection.

Dina Barazza brings over 35 years of leadership in human resources, entrepreneurship, and people-focused innovation to every aspect of the retreat.
A certified Disney customer service professional, Dina combines a deep understanding of exceptional guest experiences with a commitment to total well-being and mindfulness.
Drawing on decades of experience in designing and leading successful ventures, Dina oversees all event management, ensuring each experience reflects intentionality, connection, and the restorative power of nature.
Chief Property Officer
Silvio Condotta
Silvio Condotta oversees all projects, design, and construction at Riverside Retreat, ensuring that every space is thoughtfully crafted to support meaningful experiences.
With a focus on blending functionality and the natural environment, Silvio brings 40 years of construction to vision and expertise to every aspect of the retreat, from initial planning to completion.

RETREAT BOOKING FAQ
How many people can attend an event at Riverside Retreat?
To maintain a high-quality and safe experience for all guests, Riverside Retreat typically hosts groups of 5 - 100 participants. Group size may vary depending on the nature of the event and how the space is being used.
What is the ideal booking timeline?
We recommend booking your event at least three months in advance, particularly if facilitation services or external vendors are involved. That said, we may be able to accommodate shorter timelines depending on availability and the scope of your event.
What is your cancellation or rescheduling policy?
A 50% deposit is required at the time of booking, with the remaining balance due on the day of your event. Cancellation and rescheduling terms will be outlined clearly during the booking process.
How customizable are your events?
Our events are fully customizable. We collaborate closely with you to align the day with your group’s goals, size, culture, and overall vision. From agenda planning and breakout sessions to menu preferences and dietary considerations, our team supports the process end-to-end. On the day of your event, we’re on site to ensure everything runs smoothly from arrival through to closing.
Do you offer overnight events or accommodations?
Riverside Retreat is a one-day event centre. While overnight accommodations are not available on site, we have established relationships with nearby Airbnbs and bend and breakfast homes and are happy to provide recommendations.
What makes your retreat centre unique?
Our retreat centre is truly one of a kind, shaped by the natural beauty of the land and a deep respect for nature. The owners have intentionally preserved the property in an organic, natural state, while thoughtfully layering in refined comforts - creating an experience that feels grounded, restorative, and quietly luxurious.
Are there any site restrictions we should be aware of?
To maintain the integrity of the land, alcohol is not permitted on site. Smoking or vaping is allowed only in designated areas. We also discourage motorized water activities and gaming accessories to maintain the integrity of the space.
Is the retreat centre available year-round?
Yes, we welcome guests throughout the year. As part of our planning process, we take seasonal weather into account and suggest a backup date when appropriate.
Do you have preferred or trusted vendors we can work with?
Yes. We work with a curated network of trusted vendors and practitioners who align with our values and consistently deliver high-quality experiences. Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll happily share our recommendations and help you connect with the right partners for your event.
What insurance or liability coverage is required?
All event hosts are required to carry commercial general liability insurance in accordance with Ontario regulations and standard industry practices. This insurance must provide coverage for bodily injury, personal injury, and property damage arising from the event. At a minimum: The policy must carry commercial general liability insurance of no less than $2 million per occurrence (or higher if required based on the nature of the event). The Township/Retreat Centre name (or legal operating entity of Riverside Retreat) must be listed as an additional insured on the policy. Coverage must be valid for the entire duration of the event, including setup and teardown. A certificate of insurance must be provided prior to the event date. If the event includes higher-risk activities (such as physical wellness activities, outdoor recreation, use of equipment, or services provided by third-party facilitators), additional coverage may be required. In such cases: Facilitators, instructors, or vendors must carry their own professional and/or general liability insurance, as applicable. Proof of insurance may be requested for each third-party service provider. Riverside Retreat maintains its own insurance coverage for the property and facilities; however, this coverage does not extend to the activities, services, or operations of event hosts, facilitators, or vendors.
